Abby Joy has been singing since she was 3 years old. She is the 5th child of 6 children, one oldest brother and 4 sisters. This large Christian, faith believing, home school family gave Abby many chances to mature quickly as they went through many trials of drug and alcohol abuse with her older siblings. She has learned compassion, and the character to stay strong against peer pressure. She holds true to her purity and strong belief in the gospel. Her passion is to touch people's lives with her music and strong faith, to encourage this weary world that with faith and people who love you, you can be all you were created to be.
Abby has grown in her natural born talent, by teaching herself to play the guitar, piano and develop her naturally strong voice with a few voice lessons. She started writing music on her own at the age of 12 and writes a new song almost every week or more. She writes from a passionate heart and her songs come from the heart so people can relate to them. This is how she has touched the hearts of her community in Elizabeth, Colorado and beyond. Her many friends in the drama and music departments at her high school love her music and fun loving attitude that keeps them laughing and entertained at all times.
Abby started performing as a young girl in her church community at Orchard Road Christian Center, under Marilyn Hickey's world wide ministry, performing in the children's plays and holiday shows as a soloist and actress. Moving over to Word of Life Christian Center, performing for crowds up to 2000 people, she sang her first written song for their talent show. Constantly involved with every production at her high school, Abby keeps busy every day with some type of musical, play or singing for the sports events, the national anthem. Her school choir featured her as a soloist when the Fox News Channel video taped them for their news show. She always is a lead in every show she is in and loves to dance and do musical theater with a passion.Abby looks forward to a quick rise in popularity as she has finished her first demo and has started her own company, Abby Joy Music LLC. She is working hard with her band and hopes to come out with her own make up or jewelry line and maybe even clothes line in the future. Abby sees only success on the horizon as she lives by faith with her strong family by her side to support her all the way.
Abby Joy is all energy, ready to go forward from this moment and jump into her music career this year with full force. And she knows anyone who joins her will be a success also.
